I recently read a wonderful article on the 7th trumpet of revelation and the last trump of the rapture by Richard Kendrick (Lucius Sulla). This inspired me….
The Word of YHWH clearly shows a difference between the Last trumpet, and the Trumpet Judgments. Let’s take a look at this.
There is a BIG difference between YHWH and angels.
Given Name YAHWEH. USAGE: Theology. PRONOUNCED: YAH-way [key] A name of the Hebrew God, represented in Hebrew by the tetragrammaton (“four letters”) יהוה (Yod Heh Vav Heh), which was transliterated into Roman script as Y H W H
In any study of a specific concept we need to find every reference to the topic in the Word of El Shaddai. It is also important to start at the beginning, the law of first mention.
“The ‘law of first–mention‘ is the principle in the interpretation of Scripture which states that the first mention or occurrence of a subject in Scripture establishes an unchangeable pattern, with that subject remaining unchanged in the mind of God throughout Scripture.” (www.theamericanview.com/the-law-of-first–mention/)
There are 118 verses in both the Old Covenant and the New Testament that refers to trumpets in a variety of ways including but not limited to: trumpet, trumpets, trump and trumpeter. There are 10 specific Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic words used with at lasts 40 variations.
Isaiah 28:10 King James Version (KJV)

The last Trump
Precept upon precept
A precept is a doctrine, command or decree.
On the third day three months after leaving Egypt, after Passover, YHWH meets with Moses and the Israelites in front of the Holy mountain.
The proceedings of the first year of Israel becoming YHWH ‘s favoured nation takes place at the foot of Mt. Sinai in Arabia. It is here that:
- The covenant is set as a corporal covenant representing Elohim as the bridegroom and Israel as the bride
- The Law giving takes place representing the binding agreement
- The tabernacle is built representing the body of the Christ birthed by the Bride.
The covenant is proposed by El-Elyon (God Most High ) and verbally accepted by the people even before the terms were laid down. Unfortunately a section of the people were unfaithful right from the start which led to the breaking and remaking of the Covenant.
The covenant is divided into five sections:
Preamble – Establishing the Lordship relationship – I am YHWH thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage
Historical prologue – Establishing a previous relationship with the vassal or future bride – for in six days YHWH Adon Kal Ha’arets (the Lord of All the Earth) made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day.
Ethical stipulation – what the vassal must do to maintain the relationship – Thou shall have no other gods before me, nor take the name of YHWH El-Kanna in vain, honour the Sabbath, honour your parents, don’t kill, covet, steal, lie or commit adultary
Sanctions – A list of blessings for obedience and curses for breaking the covenant – blessings like YHWH Hashopet (The Judge) having mercy on people, living a long life in your own country ; curses like holding a grudge into the fourth generation, pronouncing guilt to those taking His name in vain. c
Succession arrangements – making arrangements and provisions for the continuing of the covenant over all the following generations – El-Olam (Eternal God) wrote His commandments on two stone tablets and gave them to Moses.
Hereafter he set the standard for life together through the building of the Tabernacle. This building represents the body of Christ; and it was birthed through the body of the Bride over a nine month period. Let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them.
The description of the Tabernacle is found in Exodus 25—28:
The north and south sides of the tabernacle as well as the ark according Strongs #6763 is the rib of a man. The two sides westward is Strongs #3411 referring to the flank, thighs and loin area. The east court door side hangings left and right is Strong #3802 referring to the shoulder or shoulder blades. The Levites represent the feet of the body that moves the body. The Aaronic priesthood represents the hands that minister to the body. For the 48 Levite cities the word side according to Strongs #6285 refers to the mouth. So the 48 panels in the tabernacle is linked to the mouth. It’s also used to describe the court of the tabernacle /white linen fence/enclosure. The Unleavened bread is the sinless flesh and the blood of the sacrifice is the life blood of the body.
As part of the construction of the Tabernacle the two silver trumpets are commissioned. From here on the sound is referenced as the voice Strongs 6963 the same word that is used to describe the voice of God that answers Moses. Only the Aaronic priest could blow these horns for two main purposes:
- Calling the assembly to the door of the tabernacle with the tekiah a short blast
- Getting ready to journey to the east or south (alarm) with the teruah or a series of short staccato blasts
The blowing of one alarm starting the movement from the east, shows according to Strong #6924 the alternative meaning of parts as eternal, everlasting, forward or end.
However a second alarm starting the movement from the south shows according to Strongs #5265 the alternative meaning of journey as to be pulled up, to be plucked up or to be removed.
This is the Bride of Christ.
The Word door in reference to the tabernacle is the Way into the body. Jesus said I am the way. The first call of the silver trumpets brings the congregation to The Way. The second type of call, nl. the alarm, takes the bride away for eternity. This is what can be referred to as the rapture event.
SO here we learned:
- Israel is the Bride of Christ
- The Law (10 words) is the Bridal contract
- The tabernacle is the Body of Christ
- The trumpets is the Voice of God calling

John 6:47-58King James Version (KJV)
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.48 I am that bread of life.49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

1 Corinthians 15:52King James Version (KJV)
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Revelation 21:3King James Version (KJV)
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
The seven trumpets
Precept upon precept
What precept is being taught here?
Jericho was shut up in fear just like the nations will shut themselves in their hidden cities under the mountains.
Joshua represents Ya’shua (Jesus) the captain of our Salvation. The city is circled once a day for six days, in silence, while the people of the city watch . For six thousand years the world has watched YHWH’s chosen people, first the families, then the Nation, then His children.
On the seventh day they circled seven times, I see this as the time of the seven seals that goes by almost unnoticed, many people are witnessing the events but can do nothing about it.
Then the seven priests blew the seven trumpets made of rams horns. This represents the seven angels blowing the seven trumpets of judgement.
The people then gave a great SHOUT just like Jesus will descend with a great SHOUT.
Revelation is a very difficult book to follow because it jumps around so much between events. For this reason we need an anchor for the events, and as YHWH always provides us with the precept I think it is fair to look to the events in Joshua 6 as that anchor.
The end time events
The seven seals
- Seal 1 – the white horse – and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Through Religious Deception many have been conquered since 300 AD when the church and state became one . the Catholic Church is not teaching the true doctrine of Christ… But the Truth is becoming clear in this time.
- Seal 2 – the red horse – to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword
(1337 – 1453 England vs France; 1455 – 1485 Wars of the Roses; 1642 – 1651 English civil war; 1775 – 1783 American Revolution ; 1789 – 1814 French Revolution and Napoleon’s war; Anglo-Boereoorlog war; 1914 – 19 WWI; 1937 – 1943 WWII; 1990 – today Gulf war)
- Seal 3 – the black horse – A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
World hunger is increasing by 4 million people per year. 2.4 Billion people survive on less than 2 dollars a day (R20). 1/3 of the food sold worldwide goes to waste. The poor suffer more and the rich waste more!
- Seal 4 – the pale horse – to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth
- Seal 5 – the souls of the slain under the altar given white robes – until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled
Currently 1 Christian is killed every 11 minutes.
- Seal 6 – there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth; heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places

Revelation 7: 9 King James Version (KJV)
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
- Seal 7 – silence in heaven for half an hour
and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
The seven trumpets
- Trumpet 1 – hail and fire mingled with blood
- Trumpet 2 – a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea
- Trumpet 3 – fell a great star from heaven: the name of the star is called Wormwood
- Trumpet 4 – third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars
- Trumpet 5 – a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit – locusts upon the earth – to torment the unsealed five months; king Abaddon
- Trumpet 6 – The four Angels from the Eufrates to slay the third part of men
- Trumpet 7 – …
Nowhere in the Revelation text concerning the Trumpets is the rapture named, but just before it starts there is a verse referring to the multitude in front of the Throne. Trumpet 1 – 6 all deal with signs in the heaven; Hail and blood falling, Volcanoes, stars falling, mountains falling, The seventh trumpet leads to the bowls of wrath not the rapture.
Then …The seven bowls of wrath!

The Bible speaks about the Last Trump which means there had to be a First Trump; it also connects this directly to the Voice of YHWH. In Revelation we learn about the seven trumpet judgement; it clearly links these to angles.
